Aaron Rogers

Owner and Senior Instructor

Aaron is the owner of Rogers JiuJitsu Academy and has been working here since 2010. He has been training martial arts since the age of 5, under the instruction of his late father and world renowned and respected 9th Dan, Soke Martin Rogers.

Aaron teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Boxing and MMA. He himself is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing, has won two Southern Area Boxing titles and fought Pro MMA. He currently trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Gracie Barra Derby Black Belt Professor Patrick Martin, and is a Brown Belt.

Aaron strives to provide affordable, fun, quality structured training to everyone from the age of 5.


Shar Rogers

Owner and Academy Manager

Shar is the Academy Manager and looks after the day to day running of both the gym and dojo.
Shar is solely responsible for the social media pages, client relations, class booking enquiries, new member queries and merchandise.

Sensei Stephen Bailey 6th Dan

Adult Kenpo Jujitsu Instructor

Sensei Stephen Bailey has an extensive traditional jujitsu background and has been practising martial arts for decades. He is a brilliant instructor and very well respected within the dojo. He teaches Adults from 14 years and over.


Sensei Michael Barron 5th Dan

Youth Kenpo Instructor

Sensei Mike Barron, like Steve, has been training and coaching traditional jujitsu for years. He is great with kids and adults and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He teaches our Youth class for ages 8-13 years.


Jack Rogers

Academy Assistant

Jack is our teenage son and new junior member of staff. He can be found with a smile on his face at reception when coming to use the gym on the occasional weekend.

He is here to open and close the gym, make your protein shakes, sell refreshments after your gym session and keep the facilities clean, tidy and sanitised.
